There is nowhere printed on this charger that says wattage or any other details in English. Not even an add on label. I do not feel comfortable that I am not about to blow out my husbands laptop with the wrong power source.

I had already bought two replacement chargers- one that was a knockoff and didn't work at all, then one directly from Dell whose plug snapped a couple months after I bought it. I needed a replacement charger in a pinch- like, the next day to take an exam online! I was afraid to buy another one or put much money into it so I decided to gamble and go for this one, plus many other chargers including from Dell were going to take a lot longer to ship. Honestly it was worth the price just to be able to take my exam yay college , even if it doesn't last.

It's really not a bad charger for the price; I was honestly just impressed it worked for the price. I will say the cord is shorter than a lot of chargers I have had probably factors into price and the charger is pretty heavy. The charger pack that hangs in the middle is pretty heavy while the part of the cord that plugs into the computer is very light, so it is easy for it to shoot out of the charger port on the computer.

I would measure the distance from where you normally sit with your laptop to where your wall plug is, to be safe. Since these Dell plugs are narrower they bend easily and it can be a tad annoying to position your laptop exactly right so that you don't bend the cord or so it can go in all the way.

It did come with a bigger sized cord for other Dell types, which is super convenient- for me it's nice because my work laptop uses that type of plug so if anything happens to that charger I can use the extra. If you are working from home or doing school at home might be a good idea to buy one of these just to have on hand in case of a charger emergency like I had!

EDIT: Spoke too soon. Stopped working only after a month. Fortunately it got me through that test, so there's that, but now it stopped working right before my final.

This cord fits my Dell Inspiron 15, series. I had dropped the laptop on the end with the cord plugged in and it was bent by the connector. I used it until it was too intermittant to take charge with that cord had to turn and hold it just right. Luckily it was just the cord and not the port connection in the laptop, itself because this cord charges no problem!

I have used at it least 5 times, so far since recieving order last week and am pleased with the quality and that it does the job. I didn't need to use the extra adapter because the main cord fits my laptop, the only thing I notice is it doesn't plug in quite as far as the original to sit "flush" near the laptop you can still see a little bit of the silver of the plug, even though it is in all the way.
